As the front garden approaches its first birthday, it is pleasing to see that so many of the initial 83 plants planted by mum and I lasted the distance! With trials and tribulations a plenty, including an exceptionally annoying drought, the current trends in torrential rain, as well as the plant stealing fiasco at Easter time, we are absolutely thrilled that there has been some awesome progress in the front yard!Dad and Richard need a special mention, for building the new letterbox seen below. The time spent on it was far greater than initially anticipated, however, the finished product was well worth the wait! Unfortunately it was very difficult trying to get Dad cracking on the other massive list of jobs that I had lined up! LOL!
Tip number 2: Being nice to your parents really does go a long way!
